Background
Indiana Nanotech, LLC was formed as a joint venture research & development company between Therametric Technologies Inc. and the Indiana University Research & Technology Corporation in October 2006. Indiana Nanotech specializes in designing and producing materials or technology that addresses specific health-related problems in dentistry and medicine.
The core of Indiana Nanotech’s proprietary technology lies in producing novel material blends with enhanced properties using an all-s0lid-state grinding process. This process manifests powerful forces that modify both physical and chemical properties of the individual components to produce novel material blends exhibiting synergistic behavior (i.e. the material behaves more than the sum of the individual parts).
Additionally, Indiana Nanotech is expanding on pioneered research of novel biomimetic oxide coatings for implant materials. These coatings show promising behavior for expedited bone growth and biocompatibility.
